MixPad Musikstudio-Software is a comprehensive program for recording and mixing audio tracks that allows you to use your computer’s files or make your own recordings, besides of having several instruments, such as a piano, that you can add to your tracks.
It has a huge variety of effects and tools for you to use. Although some of its options can be confusing for newcomers like me, it is rather fun to take your time to explore its different options.
One possible disadvantage is that you need to have some of its sound options already in your computer; otherwise, the program will ask you to download them.
All in all, it is an easy-to-use, very accessible program. Its webpage shows rather comprehensive instructions, since it has video tutorials. Also, at startup, the interface itself shows a box that offers you the options to watch the tutorials, go to the help page, watch a sample video, or start a new project; all this is very helpful when you use the program for the first time.
It also gives some other options such as minimizing the tools tabs within the program itself, and allowing you to save and export your files to online accounts such as Drive and Dropbox.
Please note that the free version is for home, noncommercial use, and has some limitations.
